Change your thinking, change your life.Ernest Holmes, Founder of the Science of Mind
Here are a few tools and techniques you can use to reprogram your subconscious. That’s where the power is. And that’s where your allies and saboteurs reside.
If you’re not living the life you want to live, start clearing and reprogramming.
Affirmations for Reprogramming
Things others said to or about you created your beliefs. You may still even hear those words in the voice of the person who said them. If some of the beliefs they planted in you were negative, then use new words to reprogram those negative beliefs.
Since most limiting beliefs start with a general sense of low self-worth, here’s a good affirmation to start with:
I love and accept myself exactly the way I am.
That comes from Louise Hay and if you want to know more about her and her success with helping people heal their lives, go to www.hayhouse.com
Now, say your affirmation while looking at yourself in the mirror -another tip from Louise Hay.
Whew. It might not be easy to do at first. But mirror work can give your affirmations a real power boost.
NOTE:Affirmations should always be written in the present tense, as though the quality already exists. You might feel some resistance at first. That’s good and it’s normal. Resistance indicates you’ve hit a sensitive spot. So work through it.

EFT® for Clearing
“EFT” stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. This method of clearing was developed by Gary Craig, a psychologist. He created EFT from a process known as, “Thought Field Therapy” created by another psychologist, Dr. Roger Callahan.
Basically, you tap on certain meridian points on your upper body to release negative energy and take the emotional power out of limiting thoughts.
The meridian points are based on the Chinese healing system of acupuncture – but without the needles. You simply tap the points using two fingers of either hand.
While there are many subtle variations to the process, here’s EFT in a nutshell:
Think of a negative belief you have about yourself. Example: “I am worthless”.
On a scale of one to 10, determine the strength of the emotion that thought brings up, 10 being the strongest. Your goal is to get it to a one.
Tap on the side of your hand – like a karate chop – and say three times: “Even though I feel I am worthless, still I totally and completely love and accept myself.”
Repeating the negative phrase “I am worthless” tap lightly five to ten times on the following body points:
Where your eyebrow meets the top of your nose.
Below the center of your eye where you feel the bone of the eye socket.
In the indentation below your nose.
Between your collarbones at the base of your throat.
Below your armpit about four inches down.
On the inside of your wrist.
On the crown of your head.
Now, gauge your emotional reaction to the negative statement. You should feel a lessening in the emotional energy. Your goal is to get to a one, so if you aren’t there yet, repeat the tapping process, re-measuring after each cycle.

Ho’oponopono for Forgiveness
Feelings of guilt can get in the way of your success. Perhaps you feel guilty succeeding when your friends are struggling. Or perhaps you feel guilty succeeding because you feel you don’t deserve it.
Ho’oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian method of asking for forgiveness. There are many variations and beliefs surrounding Ho’oponopono. This method comes from Dr. Hew Lin, via Dr. Joe Vitale.
Dr. Hew Lin cured an entire ward of mental patients using Ho’oponopono. Dr. Joe Vitale met and studied with Dr. Lin. Together they wrote a book on the power of Ho’oponopono called, “Zero Limits.”
Here how to use it.
Simply repeat to yourself, “I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.”
That’s it. You don’t even have to have a specific incident or person in mind. Just send out love. Apologize. Ask for forgiveness. And express your gratitude.
